ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinates primary prevention programs

2. Collects social history, cognitive testing, and emotional assessment data

3. Facilitates reviews, initial and triennial staffings

4. Collaborates with other mental health team members in building and community to coordinate crisis intervention procedures

5. Maintains confidential, regular, and computerized filing systems

6. Consults with building professionals in the development of interventions and referral resources

7. Assures due process for all students

8. Supports and helps address accountability and compliance issues relative to state and federal requirements

9. Provides consultation services to parents and teachers for all students

10. Facilitates, along with school counselors, guidance and skill groups

11. Attends relevant District Re-3 and state-level meetings as building representative

12. Serves on building-level committees as needed

13. Assists in the provision of staff development for building and district staff as appropriate
