We seek a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as the High School Girls Varsity Tennis Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive tennis program that fosters skill development, sportsmanship, and team camaraderie.

 

From this application pool, we will be filling both a Head Tennis Coach and and Assistant Tennis Coach.

 

Responsibilities:

1. Player Development:

   • Design and execute effective training sessions to enhance players' individual skills and overall team performance.
   • Provide constructive feedback to players, encouraging growth and improvement.
   • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture.

2. Game Strategy:

   • Develop and implement strategic game plans for both individual matches and team competitions.
   • Analyze opponents and adapt coaching strategies accordingly.
   • Instill a strong understanding of tennis tactics and match situations in players.

3. Team Management:

   • Select and organize team rosters for matches.
   • Create a supportive and motivating team environment.
   • Effectively communicate with players, parents, and school administration.

4. Skill Assessment:

   • Conduct regular assessments of players' skills and progress.
   • Provide individualized coaching to address specific strengths and areas for improvement.

5. Compliance and Safety:

   • Ensure compliance with all school and district policies.
   • Prioritize the safety and well-being of players during practices and competitions.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.
• Understanding of the academic and athletic balance required for high school athletes.
